I couldn't NOT post this. I mean, when something this exciting is yours and you get to tell everybody, you can't post it only once. When my brother and his wife told us, my mouth dropped open and my eyes got big and I was beyond joyous. Now, whenever my day is getting slow or I'm not as happy, one thought crosses my mind and I brighten up.
BABY!!!!
It's the most amazing feeling I've ever had. It's great! I love it, and I can't wait till October!!!

Three words: The Adjustment Bureau! Has anyone seen this movie? Well, I've seen it twice, both times in the threaters, and about six hours apart. Yes, a first for our family has eventually happened. Kathryn and I had a get together planned with two of our friends, Rosie and Jesse, to go watch the movie and have lunch. We watched it and just were...blown away. Oh my goodness so amazing.
Well, we went home and kept talking about it to the point that Mom was really getting sick of it. Then, out of the blue, Kathryn suggested going back with Mom and Dad that evening. I jumped on that band wagon immediately. Well, after some discussion, we were going back. Kathryn and I were not only excited about seeing the amazing movie again but also making a memory that would probably not happen ever again.
So, yes, we did something crazy, but it was for a crazy, good movie! I mean, acting was ON (really like Emily Blunt and Matt Damon, plus their pairing was perfect)! Plot was cool and very intriguing! Plus, it was just such a great movie and, yeah, you'll get the point of the title as soon as you watch it. (You'll be watching out for everybody wearing a hat.) You ARE going to watch it, right? *begins to use the force* Yes, you are going to go watch it. Hahahaha!

A day without orange juice is like a day without sunshine. --this was an old commerical jingle and still true today.
Anyone who knows me well, and if you're reading this, that's probably you, SHOULD know ;) that I drink Orange Juice every morning. It's because of habit/taste/and by now, if I don't have it, my mouth gets a weird feeling every morning as if it's trying to get any kind of orange taste from my mouth. It's very weird and I can't begin to explain it to you. You could only understand if you've had a glass of OJ pretty much every morning for the last, probably, 4 years.
I'm going to interject something here. This is to ensure you don't come away from this post thinking I'm a wimp that can't survive without a certain drink. OJ is just something that I heavily like and desire strongly, it's not a true necesity. Okay, back to the story.
Well, you can imagine how fast I can go through a quart of the stuff. About a week ago, I ran out and Mom wasn't able to get to the store. So, OH HORRORS!, there was no OJ for the morning. Sure enough, my tastebuds were very depressed when I ate a breakfast accompanied by bad water.
The next morning, I was wholly against drinking water, but we still didn't have any OJ. *strongly upset face* However, Mom had just made a pot of coffee and I clung to it as a life preserver in the desert full of water but barren of the all important, magical potion that turns my day into smiles.
Now, as you well know, I do not drink coffee unless it's got a little green mermaid on the cup. I don't drink any hot drinks, as a matter of fact, unless the afore mentioned mermaid is donning the container. Therefore, this idea of coffee was difficult to even think of. I've been wanting to like the drink for sometime but just couldn't get paste the coffee taste. Still, I had to drink something and it was NOT going to be water. I asked if I could try Mom (just some cream in it). I tasted it and "blah." No good. Water was staring me in the face. But wait, I rememeberd that Dad puts flavored creamer in his coffee. Could I try his? I did and it was pretty good. YAY!
I went downstairs and poured myself half a cup in my mug from Justin. I added the French Vanilla creamer and while it didn't look or taste quite like Dad's, it was pretty good.
The next day has by now dawned and still no special orange liquid populates the refrigerator. So, out comes the mug, coffee, and creamer. Another half cup is successfully flavored and downed with satisfaction.
Now, while it does not replace the longing in my throat for the cool liquid of OJ, I'm beginning to enjoy the coffee.
This was a quote that seemed to fit.
"Where are the cucumber sandwhiches?"
"There were no cucumbers at the market this morning, sir."
"Oh, NO cucumbers!"
"No sir, not even for ready money." -- The Importance of Being Earnest

When I begin to make my breakfast, my mouth gets that taste and until I take a drink (which I always do before I eat the food) it doesn't go away. I always drink it first because it opens up my palet and it's amazing how NASTY water (even our water) is in the morning. I've also found how cool it is how when I eat the same food without OJ, it's different.

Les Miserables
Salutations!
"What are they and where are you?"
"Salutations are greetings. They're just my fancy way of saying hello."--Charlotte's Web (book)
I really wanted to post so, I decided that since I've been in such a Les Mis mood, I'd go ahead and write on that subject for awhile. Like everything with me, I go in stages. Watching a certain movie or listening to certain music or reading certain books pulls me into a world where I want to stay for awhile. Right now, I'm in the world of Monteur-sur-meil. I think I spelled that right.
This whole mood kicked off by the program that was recently on TV (PBS) of the 25th anniversary of Les Miserables. Our family has been long standing Les Mis fans by seeing the production on Broadway twice, listening to the CDs on every road trip (along with Beauty and the Beast), and owning the video tape (WHOAH, talk about old) of the 10th anniversary show. We loved the 10th anniversary one and, when discovering the 25th, had to watch it. We were going to tape it, but Mom and Kathryn had checked in during the middle of it just to catch a glimpse.
Coming downstairs after being on my computer for awhile, I walked into to Grandpa's room (where the TV is) and they surprised me by going to PBS and showing me the show. I was excited but got ready to critique everyone, comparing them to the 10th version which is the TRUE version. ;)
Since only Valjean and Cosette were on, I tackeled them. Valjean did not seem nearly as old as Colm Wilkinson and Cosette was blonde instead of Brunette, but I could live with that. Now, I wanted to stay and see the other characters which Mom and Kathryn did not reveal. The next song was One Day More, my favorite out of the entire production. First to sing is Valjean and then Marius. Now, I had not seen Marius until now. Since the camera was not on a close-up, all I saw was dark, curly hair. I giggled as I jokingly made a reference to Nick Jonas. Then the camera went to a close up and....IT WAS NICK JONAS! Whoah, hold on. Where did he come from? He's not supposed to be anywhere near Les Mis. He's supposed to be jamming with his band, singing with his mediocre voice. How in the world did they let him into Les Mis?!
Baffled, I continued to watch. Next of the new ones, was Epoinine. Dark hair instead of blonde (like in the 10th), but she seemed fine. Next is Enjoras or however you spell his name. I always think of his as the Booming Voice, Leader guy. He didn't seem to have quite as boomy of a voice, but it was boomy enough for a pass so he was on the good list. Next, of course, comes Javert and he looked so different and sounded so different from the 10th that I'd about had it. How could they do this? What were they thinking? (The Thenardiers were grungy so they were fine.)
Well, we didn't finish watching 'cause it was the middle of the show. Instead, we ended up watching the whole thing Sunday night. My view of the new production is as follows: Definitely not as good as the 10th anniversary but it was still lots of fun to watch, Nick Jonas wasn't TERRIBLE as Marius but he wasn't that great either (Heart Full of Love? very bad), Javert wasn't very good especially since he was wearing a purple outfit, best part of the show was when they brought out the original cast and they all sang One Day More! Goosebumps!!! hahaha
All that is to say is that I am now thrust into a Les Mis mood where the songs have been stuck in my head. I've had a new drive for reading more of the book. Plus, I now want to rewatch the movie.
Talk to you later!

The Addictive Power of...
Okay, the rage is going around. The addiction is taking hold. The sucking, black holish power of...yes, of course you guessed it, the Hunger Games has finally imprisoned me in its spell. Don't ask me how they do it. I can't even begin to describe the feeling. I don't think anyone can truly understand unless they've read it. It's like, it gets into your head to where you can't stop thinking about what might happen and what you wished had happened. When someone says the wrong thing, you cringe inside and know nothing good can come of it. And, just when something happy happens, audience prepare yourself to be shot down again into a hole of depression. "Yes, that means you too, Hippie Boy." --Remember the Titans (hahahha)
You finally make it to the end of your fourth straight chapter, hoping that you might pull through and actually get to your life. Oh but wait, the author pulls one of those most famous cliff-hangers and you know you're doomed for another 8 pages. You're not going ANYWHERE! hahaha It's unnerving how true this is for so many people. What can make a book do this? Yesterday, I read probably the last 6 or so chapters of the first book. Then, I went and spent what remained of the evening with my family. Sure enough, when I went back up to bed, I couldn't resist the twitching in my fingers. 9 chapters later, I'd reached a spot that was mellow ENOUGH to let me put it down and actually get some sleep.
I also believe these books are beginning to turn me into a nervous wreck. Anyone having read the end of book 1 will know exactly what I'm talking about and completely sympathize with me. I can't say too much, 'cause I'm sure some readers of this post haven't read it. But, to all you Gamers out there, you understand my agony. ;)
You know, this morning I woke up without thinking anything about. I made it to 8:30 and it entered my mind. "No," I thought. "It'll never go away. Don't think about it." Sadly, it was too late. I was goners. Oh well, better luck for tomorrow.
I give my hearty thanks to Angelique for lending me the books. I appreciate her act of service but also blame her for my lack of sleep and many stolen hours. hahahahaha To tell the truth, my writing has suffered greatly under the pressur of this new craze. I'm struggling to get back into writing, but I'm thinking I may have to wait a few days. :)
Okay, now, I'm getting back to important stuff. Like........reading the next chapters. ;D
