The Royal Wedding of Prince William and Princess Catherine

Friday, April 29, 2011

The event of the century! Stunning, magnificent, regal, elegant, beautiful, and glorious! It was truly a significant point in history. Everything from the cars (sweet rides) to Westiminister Abbey (utterly jawdropping) was just perfect. The now Princess Catherine looked purely lovely in her wedding gown: hair and jewelry and makeup done perfectly. Prince William looked pretty royal in his bright red uniform, too. Then, there were all the other royals with the Middletons. The Queen and Prince Phillip, I thought, were so old and adorable! I like her yellow hat immensely. Then, there was Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall who looked fine. Mrs. Middleton had on an outfit that I loved. And, Prince Harry....yeah, he was right up there too. ;)

Westminister Abbey, especially with the trees inside it, looked so magnificent. It was truly magical! Then, there was all the cute/ funny stuff. Prince Harry looking back at Princess Catherine before she got to the altar. Prince William joking to Mr. Middleton about how they were supposed to have a small, family affair. The ring not going on the finger right away. Plus, those little pageboys walking behind the bridesmaids. Oh, they were so cute!

Then, of course there was the music. That choir was amazing! Such great voices and the timing they had with everything was great. They seemed to know just when she was going to get to the door and altar so they were able to swell. There was one of those moments, that tears actually came into my eyes. It was so beautiful!

I know some people out there don't think it's a big difference. You people? You're wrong. Sorry, just dead wrong. This is the continuation of one of the last monarchies in existance and Prince William and Princess Catherine are now a part of that. England's monarchy will live on because of them. This was a moment in history, people! Perhaps, 30 years from now, when their son or daughter is getting married, they'll replay PW's and PC's wedding. Then, you can tell your children that you watched that wedding on TV, or even live. It's special, and something people will talk about for years to come. I'm so glad I was a part of it, even from a very great distance. It makes me feel important! So, to all you people that are watching it or got up at 3 to watch it live, yay for you!

I was getting a bit tired of my old blog front. That means, time for a change. So, I spent several minutes going through the different options. I just LOVED the rain affect on here. Don't judge me if I used the a affect or the e effect. I can't seem to remember which is which right now. Anyway, do you like the new look?

My new hair

Lately, my hair's been pretty long and I've wanted to lopp it off. Today, the lopping was scheduled. Ready?

I absolutely love it! I think it looks cute and fun and perky.

"Oh, that's a nice statement. It's...lots of fun"-Father of the Bride

Home Alone

Yesterday, Dad was out of town, and Mom and Kathryn were at a Tony Bennet concert. Originally, Dad was going to the concert, but he decided to let Kathryn go. Then, she, being the really nice sister that she is, offered it to me. And ME, being the AMAZING sister that I am, said I knew she'd enjoy it more and to have fun. Soooo, I was alone in the house ("alone with my goldfish"-Big Jon and Sparkie).

What was I going to do with all this free time? "Anything I wanted."-Father of the Bride
See, this really is movie quote central...except Big Jon and Sparkie is a radio program. No matter. It's a quote.

Well, I had to figure out what I was going to do with the free time I'd have from 3 to 11. First thing, school. Yes, I'm good like that. See this angelic face? :D Anyway, knocked that all out and then rubbed my little hands together with GLEEEEEEE!!! And the little hands, is not a hyperbole. I do have hands that are the same size as a 12 year old's. And, she's not done growing. :(

Weighing the time, I decided I could eek out 2 movies of reasonable time. Well, I shouldn't waste these picks on something that someone else wants to watch; I need to do things NO ONE else wants to watch. What did I pick? Appetizer=The Last Song. Now, don't go groaning. This was my night to watch the movies I wanted to watch. This will be ever enforced with how my entree was Prince of Persia: Sands of Time. Personally, I think this movie is hysterical! The lines are so witty! I don't know what it is, but I've enjoyed it thoroughly both times I've seen it.

Yes, I had a very fun time. It was good to be by myself for a little while and relax and kick back. I'm not a huge one to be by myself all the time, but once and awhile, I really enjoy it.

New Post

Wow, I haven't posted in forever. Hmm, what do I have to talk about? Not much. I wore a skirt today. :) Just a casual, white skirt to school, and I felt pretty. :D hahaha

Ooh, this is something, but I'm risking my 16 year old prowess by admitting it. Until about a week ago, I'd never read Stuart Little. Yeah, yeah, quit screaming at me. I was not a big reader when I was the age to read that. Anyway, the best point is that I finally got around to reading it. And, I was really enjoying it. I was like, I should've read this awhile ago.

"But Benny did not know what they were going to find the next day." - Surprise Island (book not movie)

So, I kept reading and reached the second to last chapter and Stuart became a little pill. To finish it off properly was THE most anti-climatic, unsatisfactory ending ever!!! I was so dissappointed. I was also quite a bit annoyed that I'd spent good, solid reading time, in reading a book that as a whole is a dud! Now, I love Charlotte's Web, but this? Ug.

What am I reading now? Well, I'm still wallowing through the dense pages of Les Miserables which I'm enjoying but it's just slow going as I aforementioned that I was wallowing. Usually, you don't get the idea of going fast if your wallowing. Wallowing gives the idea of plugging or plodding slowly through nice cool, brown, sludge. Wallowing also gives the idea of how the Biggest Loser show is going because it's taking soooooo long to get through the show. It's well known that I don't care for that show.

So, since I've now just given you a nice, rather nasty, in-depth definition of the word wallowing as it goes to Meaghan, I shall leave you now. BYE!!!!

Really Fed Up!

Okay, does anybody have any clue how to get the formatting on this blog to go back to normal? All other posts, except the last two, have published just as I typed them. However, on the last two, they've cdombined my multiple paragraphs into one big mass of words. It not only is hard to read, but it looks stupid. I really would like to get the thing back to normal, but I can't figure it out. Any help would be appreciated.
